Flyball is an incredible dog sport/game consisting of jumps and a tennis ball retrieved from a "box". Picture it: two race lanes side by side, four jumps set ten feet apart in each lane with a ball tossing box at the end. Four dogs on each team anxiously await the start. One at a time the dogs in each lane race over the jumps, catch the ball and return over the jumps to be met relay style by the next dog ready to take his turn. The first team to have all four dogs complete the course wins the heat. It is entertainment at its best. The handlers are just as excited as the dogs and the crowd is asked to join in by cheering for their favourite team.
Flyball is the fastest growing dog sport today with teams all over North America. Its excitement and crowd-pleasing attributes make it a popular event at any community function.
Members of Hot Diggity Dogs performed 13 shows at specially selected events in 2007 including fundraisers, festivals and fairs. We are a Belleville/Trenton based club made up of approximately 15 families and their dogs who would enjoy the opportunity to share our fun with the community.
Performances at 11am & 1:30pm Monday, September 1, 2008
→ Between performances, the race dogs are available for the public to visit and ask questions.
