• It was with sadness that the MAS received notification of the December 2007 death of Robert Jackson who had been the enthusiastic and dedicated organizer of the Antique Tractor Pull at our Marmora Fair annually since 2003. MAS is grateful to Robert's former "right-hand man", Ronald Timmermans, for his taking over the role and responsibilities of Antique Tractor Pull event organizer.

Marmora Fair 2008 Promotions:
1. Beginning July 17, 2008, one Advance Midway Wrist Band will be donated to the Kids Door Prizes at the #7 Classic Cruisers weekly Thursday evening Cruise Nights, in downtown Marmora. Individuals or businesses may sponsor the Wrist Bands. If you would like to sponsor a Wrist Band, please contact the Fair Board at 613-472-5403.
2. Beginning July 17, 2008, the Marmora Agricultural Society will hold a FREE weekly draw for a Weekend Pass. These draws will take place each Thursday evening at the Cruise Nights. Entry forms and deposit containers are located at Maddy’s Deli, Cook’s Barber Shop, Dixie Lee and Sam’s (in Cordova). Other locations may be added. You need not be present to win.
3. The Marmora Agricultural Society will hold a free daily draw, at and during the 3 days of our Fair. These free draws will take place on Saturday at 6:30pm in the Derby Pit, on Sunday at 1:45 - 2pm during Crossroads Band’s first break and on Monday at 12:30pm, just before the Grandstand Show. One prize per entrant name drawn, per daily draw – ballot box will be emptied following each daily drawing. You must be present to win! Each of these 3 daily free draws will determine 10 winning entrants, who will receive their choice of either a free Candy Apple or Candy Floss from the Midway. Valid entry ballots for each of these daily draws, & the ballot deposit box, will be at the Secretary’s Office beside the Marmora Older Boys Food Booth, during the fair.
